The West Village community is not too pleased with Sarah Jessica Parker. The former "Sex and the City" star returned to her character's famous stoop for an unauthorized photo shoot of her shoe collection, which upset the building owners and neighbors who already deal with tourists and Carrie Bradshaw fans on a regular basis. SJP even posted evidence of her trespassing on her shoe line's Instagram with shoes lined up behind a sign marked “Do NOT go on staircase please.” Busted. {Page Six}

J.Crew fans, if you’re waiting for the day you can buy yoga pants alongside your glitter heels, you’ll be waiting a while. CEO Mickey Drexler said that while J.Crew considered joining in on the athletic trend, the company decided to sit this one out and focus on the right kind of expansion. Considering that activewear sales grew 7 percent while total U.S. apparel grew only 1 percent in the last 12 months, this may be a missed opportunity. Though, with most other apparel brands launching activewear this year, the market could become over-saturated. {Business of Fashion}

From rock and roll to comfortable footwear: Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is taking a step away from music and towards activewear as the new face of Skechers Relaxed Fit Footwear. It may seem like an odd fit, but after 50+ years of rocking out, we think Starr deserves some supportive shoes. {Fashionista Inbox}
