I've talked at length about my slight addiction to expensive sweaters (at least I know I'm not alone in it, thanks to Lauren Sherman), and this one by Étoile Isabel Marant has been haunting my dreams since before the holidays. It seemed very appropriate for a splurge earlier this month due to its similarities to a Christmas sweater — with alpacas in place of reindeer — but in the spirit of the season (read: I'd rather spend my free time sleeping than shopping) it slipped my mind.
Now that the pressure of buying the perfect gifts and scoring the most coveted items during the after-Christmas sales has passed, it's once again all I can think about. I know I will get a ton of use out of it throughout the winter, and when it warms up, I can pull a "Kate Bosworth at Coachella" and pair it with ankle booties and white shorts. I just might treat myself to this baby as a New Year's present (those are a thing, right?). It will fit right in with my resolution to stop. shopping.
Remington intarsia alpaca-blend sweater, $395, available at Net-A-Porter.
