The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge finished their whirlwind visit to New York City with a night fit for royals: a black tie event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Tuesday night's black tie reception was a fundraiser for the University of St. Andrews, which Kate and Will both attended (and where they met). Crowds gathered outside of the museum to await the couple's arrival, and cheering followed the Duke and Duchess up the museum's historic steps.

Kate wore a dark blue silk gown from another one of her favorite British designers, , which she's worn twice since October 2013. The dress's open v-neck flatters her shoulders, and accompanied by an impressive pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings and her low bun up-do, she looked every bit the princess on her last night in the city.
