A quality basic at a great price point.

Living in New York, I wear cashmere sweaters pretty much every day from mid-September until mid-April. I wouldn't say I'm a cashmere sweater connoisseur, per se, but I do buy a lot of cashmere sweaters.

Over Christmas, I gifted myself two of Everlane's cashmere crewneck sweaters, one in ivory and one in black. And wow, do I love them. They're slim but warm, just the right length; and because the shapes and colors are so classic and understated, they work wonderfully as canvases for large Marni necklaces and assorted bangles. I've been pairing the ivory one mostly with black jeans and ankle boots, and the black one with a white skirt, tights and over-the-knee boots. On really cold days, I'll layer a Uniqlo "heattech" camisole underneath.

Best of all: for cashmere of this quality, the price point is pretty much unbeatable.

Everlane cashmere crew, $128, available at Everlane.
