It almost as if Thursday was a warm-up day, and Friday was actually the first day of New York Fashion Week. The piercingly cold wind picked up, but the day was bright and sunny. Even the shows were more exciting, with such heavy hitters such as Jason Wu, Zimmerman and Suno presenting their fall collections.

The fashion crowd interpreted casual Friday in their own way -- with indigo and pale blue layers and a whole lot of denim. To combat the cold, there were soft voluminous fur coats and hoods and even a cozy pink plaid blanket coat, or two. That's right! Two women wore a fall 2014 Delpozo coat and looked ultra-warm doing it.
