Tyler's Moody Plum Lipstick

It goes perfectly with my "trying not to fall down on this giant ice patch" grimace. And also my scarf.

Sometimes, even a bright, in-your-face red lipstick feels too cheery — especially when there's snow/ice/slush on the ground.

Enter: the perfect dark plummy color. It's risky for someone as not goth as I am, but this formula by Estée Lauder is great because it's silky and easy to layer, and the color looks less intimidating on than it looks in the tube. I like to put on a layer, blot down heavily with a tissue, repeat a second time, and then pat on the final layer. It makes the color last much longer and knocks down a lot of the shine, which can make a color this dark feel intense. The results are... well, here, enjoy this shameless #selfie:
