And Shoshanna gives us another memorable interview look.

During the season four, episode four of "Girls," many of the lead characters reached a breaking point and/or moved out of limbo with their current situations. Marnie became Desi's only girlfriend, Shoshanna told Ray how she really feels, and Hannah got fed up and left Iowa, to the surprised of no one. Read on to see how their fashion choices reflected their life choices.

Shoshanna, fortunately for everyone involved, toned down her job interview look a bit for top-tier consulting firm McKinsey — who knew her career aspirations spanned from trend jewelry allocation to management consulting? Of course, she couldn’t help herself when it came to the hair accessories, choosing yet another absurdly large, sparkly hair clip to go with her adorable cream, Chanel-like jacket. That said, her not getting the job probably had less to do with that hair clip and more to do with her rambling about Chelsea Clinton’s curly hair and the number of character flaws called out by her interviewer.

Who knows what Marnie’s going to wear next? While the other ladies tend to exhibit some degree of consistency in their personal style, Marnie has always been a bit of a wildcard — a very boring wildcard. One day she’s trying to be a sexy singer-songwriter, the next she’s sporting a tropical print fashion sweatshirt, which she over-accessorizes with necklaces, rings and earrings, thereby canceling out the sweatshirt’s intended effortless effect.

We were rooting for you, Hannah. We were all rooting for you. And I’m not talking about seeing grad school through to the end because no one thought you were going to do that. But, you made it through three episodes without wearing anything completely heinous, with the exception of that time a bat made you oversleep. And then on episode four you donned this reddish-brown short-sleeve sweater, which is the most unflattering, awful thing ever. Even if it were currently the '80s, it would not be okay.

We love seeing Ray and Shoshanna together, and it has to mean something that Shosh was able to convince Ray to spend $70 on a t-shirt he didn’t even like. Though we can get behind a $70 t-shirt in some instances, this one wasn’t right for him. Get thee to a Band of Outsiders STAT, or maybe just a Uniqlo. We would love to see a full-on Ray makeover on this show at some point.

Hannah Has a Surprisingly Polished Travel Outfit

We would have expected Hannah’s departure from Iowa to be a lot messier than it was: clothes in trash bags, packing mishaps, various loose ends, a disheveled plane outfit. But no. Perhaps to reflect her excitement about returning to New York, she arrived looking as fresh as ever with a red vintage-y suitcase that was an aesthetic complement to her tan loafers, blue trousers and printed blouse, which didn’t fit terribly at all. We guess it’s as good an outfit as any to be wearing when you meet who appears to be your boyfriend’s new girlfriend. Eep.
