Bulgari kicked off Oscar week on Tuesday night with a splashy event at Spago in Beverly Hills, celebrating the launch of the photo book "STOP.THINK.GIVE."  As part of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with the Save the Children organization, the book features portraits of over 250 celebrities wearing custom-designed Bulgari rings. Thanks in part to the looming Academy Awards, celebs were out in force, including Naomi Watts (who is, granted, a Bulgari brand ambassador), Adrien Brody, Jeremy Piven, Camilla Belle, Malin Ackerman, and Ashley Greene.

Watts, star of the nominated "Birdman" and the cover girl for "STOP.THINK.GIVE," said that she was attracted to the project as a mother. “You worry about your children no matter what,” she told us. “You want the best for them—yes, you want them to have the best education, but you also want them to be confident, happy, healthy people and develop lots of other skills along the way. I feel proud to be a part of [helping] those communities that are in need and suffering.”

Of working with famed-photographer Fabrizio Ferri, Watts said he took only four photos to get the perfect image of her. “He knew exactly what he wanted and the lighting was perfect...and I’m not easy to light these days.”

While we find it hard to believe that there is a light that could be less than flattering for the stunning actress, she did share her red carpet Achilles, well, heel: “The worst thing about award shows is the shoes.” She added that while some women wear heels daily, she “absolutely [does] not,” so she is out of practice by awards season and ends up in agony by the end of the night.

Watts, who is presenting at the Oscars, was mum on who she’ll be wearing Sunday. But given her work on "STOP.THINK.GIVEand the show-stopping Bulgari diamond-snake necklace she wore to the Golden Globes this year, we're willing to bet that a Bulgari bauble or two will make an appearance.
