Playing It Safe: Banana Republic made its debut at New York Fashion Week and, perhaps wisely, creative director Marissa Webb didn't venture too far onto J.Crew's turf.

New Beginnings: Peter Copping made his debut at Oscar de la Renta, and while there were some fumbles, we're happy to report that the designer's collection garnered a collective sigh of relief from the fashion crowd.
