Billy Reid is seeking a full-time social media manger to join our New York-based marketing team. Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills and experience working with a variety of social media, web entities and mobile technology. An understanding of related data acquisition, analysis and application is imperative.
The winning candidate will be responsible for creating and posting all Billy Reid social media content; they will also be responsible for communicating with the social media contacts in each of our 11 stores, which have individual Instagram channels. The ability to identify and quickly create vibrant, on-brand photo and video content and to then confidently edit and post it to the most effective platform is imperative. An eye for quality and applicable photography skills are also required.
The ideal candidate will have some professional marketing experience, preferably with a concentration in social media. She or he will be able to demonstrate impressive growth and innovation on a variety of social media channels, either those they’ve worked on professionally or for their personal use, or both. Additional experience in E-commerce, fashion retail, and graphic/website design would be helpful, but is not a requirement.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, curious, proactive, disciplined self-starter with the ability to multi-task; she or he will come to us with a wide personal network in the sphere of social media and, ideally, the world of fashion. They should keep up with emerging and evolving trends, innovations and applications related to social media and communication technology.
Finally, the person we hire will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of and appreciation for the Billy Reidbrand and its history, and a familiarity with our physical and digital assets, including our stores, social media channels, and blog, the Journal. Along with our people, these things are the heart of our company, not to mention what we believe to be the best source of our original content.
