Launching in Summer 2015, RE/LABLD is the most cutting-edge marketplace for women to buy and sell luxury fashion.

We are seeking a Director of Appraisals who is looking for an opportunity to get in at the ground at an exciting growing startup with huge potential for career mobility.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify details and authenticity of member submitted items
  • Accept or reject items based on desirability to RE/LABLD marketplace
  • Price accepted items utilizing RE/LABLD’s proprietary technology
  • Research items as needed to better evaluate price and/or authenticity
  • Oversee decisions of new appraisers
  • Investigate and decide fraud cases in which buyer alleges seller product is fraudulent or otherwise misrepresented
  • Identify and research new brands to be added to the appraisal system
  • Provide feedback for improvements in appraisal technology

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in pricing luxury fashion
  • Passion for fashion, thorough understanding of fashion history and current industry trends, and knowledge of fashion design, construction and fabrics
  • Expansive knowledge of brands and price points for contemporary, couture and vintage luxury designers
  • Experience with fraud analysis and brand identifiers such as holograms, date codes, authenticity cards and hallmarks
  • Strong arithmetic skills and ability to problem solve
  • Keen memory
  • Quick utilization of resources and ability to work in fast-paced environment to effectively meet performance metrics
  • Extremely tech-savvy and ability to learn new technology
  • Proficient in Mac OS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Docs, Gmail, Dropbox, project management software
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Punctual, sense of urgency, excellent time-management skills and able to meet deadlines
  • Quick learner, flexible and willing to be involved in many aspects of a start-up company
  • Ambitious, polished and committed to excellence
