And coverups, too.

Is there anything more personal, or stressful, than finding the right bathing suit? We want to feel comfortable, confident, and tucked in — so to speak — in summery colors or unique cuts. There are so many shapes and price points for sale this season, we decided to each pick our favorites: one under $300, one under $100 and one easy coverup.

Check out our picks below.

Solid & Striped Romper, $178, available at Solid & Striped. I'd wear this romper on any weekend to hang around the city, but it would also be ideal for a comfy beach cover up.

Marysia Palm Springs Bikini top, $141, and bottom, $141, available at Marysia. I love how this two-piece is both sporty and glamorous at the same time — plus, I've been meaning to give the retro high-cut brief style bottoms a try.

Bikyni The Crop, $50, and The Tieless String, $50, available at Bikyni. As someone with above-average sized boobs, it's difficult to find pretty bikini tops that provide the right amount of support. I think this version from new swimwear brand Bikyni will do the trick, and for $95, I can pair it with any of the brand's many styles of bottoms.

Free People crop top, $99, available at Free People. I basically tan through SPF70 and after this last beachy vacation, I'm tempted to wear a long-sleeve rash guard as my bathing suit, all the time. And now I just might.

ASOS Bikini top, $36, and bottom, $24, available at ASOS. I'll risk crazy tan lines for this strappy bustier top and cute chevron print. Plus, I find hipster bottoms to be the most comfy and flattering.

Atelier Delphine tunic, $210, available at Atelier Delphine. Totally appropriate to wear from the beach to the beach bar.

Lenny Niemeyer One Piece Plunge Halter, $228, available at Everything But Water. I have no boobs and wide hips, and this type of plunging halter neckline usually does wonders for me from a proportion standpoint. I love the twist front and little cut out in front that almost makes it look like you're wearing high waisted briefs.

C9 Racer Back Bikini Top, $19.99, and Hipster Bottom, $19.99, available at Target. If I played beach volleyball, I would totally wear this. As it stands, I usually just read a book on the sand. This suit is cute enough for that, too. Also, if I destroy it in the washing machine like I do with many of my suits because I'm too lazy to hand wash them, at least it's cheap.

Wick It Wader Coverup, $69, available at AthletaI own this in two colors and get multiple compliments whenever I wear it. Even though it has long sleeves, it's really lightweight, but still provides SPF 50. I also love the length because it actually covers your butt. Perhaps that's a con for some people, but on some beach days I cannot deal with my butt.

Current/Elliot Boyfriend Shorts, $188, available at Shopbop. In my view, the best beach cover-up is a really great pair of jean shorts. But they've gotta be loose fitting. Nobody wants to pull up a tiny pair of short-shorts over sticky salt water skin.

Stella McCartney Bikini, $207 (from $345), available at Farfetch. I love black bikinis, and this one is made even better by the fun superhero print that cropped up all over Stella McCartney's resort collection.

J.Crew Swimsuit, $88, available at J.Crew. The easiest one-piece. Navy is classic, and isn't discordant against my aggressively pale skin the way that bright colors are.

Red Carter Butterfly-Print Underwire One-Piece, $169, available at Neiman MarcusI love one-pieces so much. They just make everything easier, especially if they have a bust enhancing underwire and a defined waist as this Red Carter style does. Plus, the front cut-outs are a fun twist.

Mossimo bandeau top, $19.99, available at Target and Lolli Swim Cannon Ball Bottoms, $75, available at Lolli Swim. Boy short bottoms are a good cut for me, and the big bow is an easy way to make my booty look perkier. A easy bandeau top is my go-to for avoiding tan lines.

Madewell Pocket Tee Dress, $98, available at Madewell. I want my coverups to be soft and oversized, like this easy t-shirt dress.

Sirena ruched maillot in yellow, $98, available at Anthropologie. This suit is so freaking adorable I could scream because it's sold out in my size. I like the retro, optimistic feel of the sweetheart neckline and yellow floral print, which would look so glamorous with a long black cardigan or white caftan and a big beach hat.

Malia Mills white stunner top, $250, and bottom, $245, available at Malia Mills. I haven't worn a two-piece swimsuit in years, but this high-waisted suit from my go-to brand, New Jersey-based Malia Mills, might get me to convert. I like the generous coverage and, like the one-piece from Anthropologie, the vintage vibe. It's pricey, sure, but I've been wearing the last two suits I bought there for more than five years now and they're in great shape.

J.Crew tassel beach skirt in fan block print, $59.50, available at J.CrewI often go to the beach in one-piece and a skirt. I like the colors and print on this one — the length, too.
