RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motivate, manage and review Finance Manager 
  • Assist Financial Controller with G/L monthly close, performing an in-depth review and analysis of revenues and expenses 
  • Liaise with the production department and support all financial needs, including, but not limited to:  
    • preparation of all show and event budgets, including budget to actual variance analysis and related  profit and loss statements 
    • travel needs and budgeting 
    • purchasing needs 
  • Liaise with the public relations department and support all financial needs, including, but not limited to: 
    • preparation of all public relations budgets, including budget to actual variance analysis and related  profit and loss statements 
    • travel needs and budgeting 
    • purchasing needs 
  • Liaise with the digital department and support all financial needs, including, but not limited to: 
    • prepare all digital event / project budgets, including budget to actual variance analysis and related  
    • profit and loss statements 
    • travel needs and budgeting 
    • purchasing needs 
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable / Client collections 
  • Oversee Accounts Payable / weekly disbursements 
  • Review all monthly Public Relations and Digital out of pocket expense invoices and send correspondence to client when necessary, i.e. overage, etc. 
  • Review Production, Casting and Public Relations show and event out of pocket expense invoices and  prepare actual to budget variance analysis and related profit and loss report. 
  • Weekly cash / accounts receivable reporting 
  • Bi-monthly revenue reporting 
  • Reconcile monthly American Express statement, ensuring all receipt documentation is captured  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 5+ years experience in accounting, accounting analysis, budgeting, forecasting and modeling 
  • Advanced Excel skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work in work beyond the presented issues to problem solve in a fast paced environment 
  • Must work to continually improve processes for maximum efficiency  
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work effectively within time constraints  
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and at clients 
  • Ability to provide analysis of cost discrepancies 
  • Experience with accounting software (Peachtree preferred)
