To battle the ongoing war that is my face, my dermatologist recently had me throw out all of the oil-infused moisturizers, serums and makeup in my bathroom cabinet. While the change in regime has gone a long way towards clearing up my breakouts, it's also severely dehydrated my skin.
On a trip to Kiehl's a couple of weeks ago, a store associate recommended I try the brand's oil-free serum, and I'm so glad she did. The product is lightweight and absorbent, much more so than the company's facial moisturizer, which I'd been previously using. My skin has stopped cracking and peeling while still staying blemish-free. Problem solved.
I admit, I paused over the price tag attached to the 1.7 o.z bottle, but a little product goes a long way: One pump's worth covers my whole face.
Kiehl's Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate, $58, available at Nordstrom.
