The 2015  Met Gala has officially come and gone, and with this year's theme "China: Through the Looking Glass," we were bracing ourselves for a lot of cultural appropriation and insensitivity. By the end of it, though, we were pleasantly surprised at how few ensembles felt disrespectful, and a handful of attendees even wowed us with their interpretations of the tricky, Chinese-inspired dress code. 

Throughout the evening, we kept track of the most successful looks — more specifically, those that made a nod to the night's theme (without being vulgar) and that weren't a variation on the same dress styles we see every year. A few clear winners emerged, and we have a feeling that their ensembles will go down in history as 2015's most memorable
