After sparking a connection at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2013, Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss cemented their status as one of the world's most famous pairs of female friends when they walked down the runway together again in the 2014 show, wearing matching black lacy lingerie. Their shared Vogue cover was the cherry on top of it all, and I overheard more than one reporter asking Kloss about her musical friend on the Met Gala red carpet Monday night.
Meanwhile, across the world, Swift performed the first concert of her 1989 tour for 55,000 fans in Tokyo. Images of all her new stage costumes have popped up on social media and one really stuck out: It's a long-sleeve, semi-sheer, sparkle-encrusted bodysuit. Not only is it an usually sexy look for Swift, who is entering a new, slightly more revealing, midriff-baring stage in her career; but it also looks a lot like the sparkling bodysuit Kloss wore on the very stage she and Swift shared back in 2013.
Was Swift inspired by Kloss to take the bodysuit plunge? Swift's version looks much more chaste than Kloss's did, but we'll have to wait until more concert snaps hit the Internet to be sure. Either way, I'm sure Swift's many workouts this summer at ModelFIT helped her feel comfortable about donning this suit every night for the rest of her tour.
