Apparently all the '70s inspiration on the runways has been getting to me — Alessandro Michele's work at Gucci in particular — but I've recently developed a fondness for the dark, almost olive shade of ochre that's often associated with that decade. So I was stoked to find it in the form of these Vans, which comprise a very subtle mix of suede and herringbone. As someone who walks a lot, I find sneakers almost always preferable to sandals, even in the summer.
Some might call the color unappealing. I'd say it's like wearing a Wes Anderson film on your feet.
Rowley Solos in Olive, $65, available at Vans.
