Monday was big for Giambattista Valli. In the morning, the designer introduced his ninth haute couture collection to a packed front row at the Grand Palais. Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo and Lena Perminova were all there to take in his etheral embellished dresses, beaded ensembles and tulle ball gowns (those were a real stand-out).

Then, Monday evening gave all of Valli's muses the opportunity to model his designs at his Flower Obsession Ball, a party celebrating the launch of his new collaboration with M.A.C. The designer took the flower inspiration quite literally: the Palais Garnier was lit up with roses (see below).

Inside, the M.A.C x Giambattista Valli lipsticks were displayed among hundreds of flowers along the venue's grandiose stairs. Some guests, including Bianca Brandolini and Kelly Sawyer, were even sporting flowers in their hair.

The main source of amusement for the crowd, however, was surely the striking ballroom, which had mirrors everywhere, even on the floor (Joséphine de la Baume was not the only one spotted taking selfies upside-down). The talented Belgian duo 2manydjs was in charge of the music, until Mark Ronson took the stage around midnight.

Obviously, all of Valli's closest friends were there, including Naomi Campbell, Alber Elbaz, Jessica Alba, Alexia Niedzielski, Delfina Delettrez and Hamish Bowles. We wouldn't have missed it for the world, and neither did they.

See what all of them wore in the gallery below.
