Since January Jones formally bid adieu to Betty Draper Francis and the rest of "Mad Men" in May, she's participated in a number of distinctly anti-Betty activities. For starters, she swung by Comic-Con to promote her quirky new show, "Last Man on Earth"; wore a star-printed bathing suit with Diane Kruger; and used the hashtag "#getfucked" in reference to her weekly agenda. Jones's conscious uncoupling from her past AMC life seems to be going quite well.

But on Wednesday, Jones embraced her Matthew Weiner-crafted alter ego at the opening of Zimmermann's Melrose Place flagship with a frilly and flirty dress. Cloaked in head-to-toe polka dots, Jones's Zimmermann get-up was familiar, if only because it looked just like something Betty might've worn to a cocktail party — until you notice that the top is nearly translucent with a lacy black bra poking out from underneath. The shoes, all bows and teensy straps, are fun and girly, too.

Let this be a lesson in polka dots, folks: To maintain any semblance of sex appeal, just make sure your on-trend blouse is the perfect amount of sheer. Easy enough.
