Marion Cotillard Didn't Wear a Naked Dress to Leo's Gala

Hers was definitely the most opaque dress at the model-filled event — and the prettiest.

Prominent model advocate Leonardo DiCaprio threw a charity dinner and auction on Wednesday in Saint-Tropez, and, as you might expect, there were more than a few beautiful women in attendance. As models are wont to do around DiCaprio, they wore all manner of semi-sheer sexy gowns that left no doubts as to the legginess of their legs or the tautness of their abs. You get the picture, right?

Meanwhile ultra-cool French actress Marion Cotillard marched to the beat of her own drum, choosing instead a short-sleeved navy maxi dress from Erdem's pre-fall collection. Relying on her considerable natural beauty in a minimal makeup look with tied-back hair, she let the vibrant floral pattern that went down the front and back of the dress take center stage, accessorized with a simple Charlotte Olympia clutch. She looked confident and comfortable — the definition of effortless sophistication — with the added bonus of not exposing any of her underwear through sheer panels. That's a successful party dress, in my opinion.
