Ready your flag capes and begin planning your watch parties, patriots: The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro may be a full 371 days away, but in the minds of some, they're just around the corner.

Following the positive response to Team Great Britain's Stella McCartney-designed uniforms in the 2012 London Olympics, fashion's resident "It" Brit is back for a second round. On Thursday, Adidas announced that McCartney has once agreed to design the official team kit — including competition and off-duty apparel — for all Team GB athletes participating in the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In 2012, Adidas's sleek, understated Team GB replica kits became the "most successful Olympic range ever" with its items selling out all over the UK and beyond.

Since McCartney was commissioned for the role in April 2014, the kits have been through several rounds of performance testing and feedback, a process for which Adidas enlisted a whole slew of British athletes, from diver Tom Daley to cyclist Lizzie Armistead.

McCartney's full set for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games is set to be unveiled in April 2016.
