On Friday evening, Riccardo Tisci staged his first fashion show in New York City for Givenchy — an event that doubled as a moving tribute to the 9/11 tragedy. To celebrate the French brand's arrival stateside, the designer not only opened the guest list to 1,200 lucky (and randomly chosen) fans, he also called upon some of the house's most famous muses from throughout the years to sit front row. Tisci has become something of a pop culture icon thanks to his close relationships with A-list celebrities, many of whom have appeared in Givenchy advertisements in the past or, at the very least, shown the label plenty of love on the red carpet.

It's a bit too early in Fashion Month to declare Givenchy's front row the most impressive in terms of star power, but it's certainly going to be difficult to top. For starters, spring 2015 campaign star Julia Roberts — who wore a T-shirt with Tisci's face emblazoned on it — sat among fellow former faces of the house like Erykah Badu, Liv Tyler, Amanda Seyfried, Lara Stone, Carine Roitfeld and Karen Elson. Sky Ferreira and Courtney Love, who have both performed at Givenchy after-parties in years past, joined a few of Tisci's favorite hip-hop/R&B stars including Nicki Minaj, Ciara and Jennifer Hudson to take in the magnificent show.

Last but not least, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West — perhaps Tisci's most high-profile friends — waltzed in an hour late, and though Kardashian's sheer lace gown allowed her growing baby bump to take center stage, the couple left little North at home. And if you're wondering if the show was held until after Kimye took their seats, the answer is (obviously) yes.
