Starting in New York and now in London, designers are drawing inspiration from the most elementary of color palettes: primary colors. (That's red, yellow, and blue for those of you not familiar with the color wheel.) Despite its inherent simplicity, it's tough to find a more eye-catching combination, as proven here by the likes of Lisa Perry, Osman and Jil Sander Navy. While some color-blocked the look, others decided to incorporate the hues into more complex prints. Either way, this is the kind of "basic" we can get behind when it comes to fashion.
