Since joining the New York Fashion Week calendar in February 2010, The Row — the minimalist, ultra-luxurious label founded by former child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — has become one of the most closely watched shows of the week. But this season, The Row is moving its runway presentation to Paris, a spokesperson informed Fashionista by email Monday evening.

No further information — date, venue, reason — was given. It appears to be a last-minute decision, as The Row remains listed on the official New York show schedule, which the CFDA said was finalized on Friday.

This is not the first time The Row has unexpectedly decamped for Paris. Following late sample deliveries, The Row cancelled its spring 2011 collection show in New York and presented later in Paris instead.

The move is particularly surprising this season given the company's plans to open a New York store before the end of the year.
