Tom Haverford and I have several things in common: harboring a penchant for head-to-toe cashmere, assigning nonsensical nicknames to food and a deep love of house slippers. I'm not the type of person who will snap your neck if you wear your outdoor shoes inside my apartment, but I personally prefer to keep my feet as free as possible the second I walk through the door.
Unfortunately, a recent accident (read: my parents's new puppy) rendered my current slippers useless to the point where I can no longer wear them, even in the comfort of my own home. But on Christmas, my mom came through in the clutch with this exact pair from earth-friendly footwear brand Acorn. They're fantastic, aren't they? Made of plush velvet and embroidered with a subtle dotted design, they're more of a driving loafer than a clunky slide, and have a super-comfortable padding along the insole. I'm wearing them as I type this, in fact, and I couldn't recommend them enough, both in form and in function.
Acorn Novella slippers in Grey Velvet Dots, $59, available at Acorn.
