The 2016 edition of awards season is in full swing, and on Sunday night, many of our favorite faces from the worlds of both TV and film gathered once again to celebrate the 21st annual Critics' Choice Awards. Following last week's Golden Globes, this red carpet marked the second stop on the road to the Oscars; and while stars may be saving the sartorial big guns for that event, there were still plenty of well-done ensembles worthy of our attention.

Alicia Vikander, who's making the rounds for her role in "The Danish Girl," surprised us all with her intricately embroidered gown by Mary Katrantzou, a departure from the Louis Vuitton she usually opts for as the current face of the label. One of the night's biggest winners was action flick "Mad Max: Fury Road," and two of the film's leads — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Zoe Kravitz — proved their fashion prowess with looks by Saint Laurent and Dior Couture, respectively. "Jessica Jones" star Krysten Ritter kicked off her awards season run with a stunning couture gown by Zuhair Murad, and fellow television favorite Kirsten Dunst, who won for her role in FX's "Fargo," went with a glittering couture look for the night, too — hers by Chanel.
