What's a peacocking street style star to do when the weather is so cold that her fluffy designer coat obscures the carefully curated outfit beneath it? Why, channel the Kardashians, of course, and pull said coat down around the shoulders. Because wearing it over the shoulders is so 2010.

The result has a sort of sexy, undressed vibe in some instances (see Caroline Vreeland, top left) but otherwise seems difficult to pull off as a natural look unless you're a true street style pro. It's not a new styling hack by any means — Rihanna's been doing versions of it for years — but it's looking to be a contagious one outside the fall 2016 shows so far.

Thanks to the wind dying down on day two, it was more pleasant for show-goers to pop in and out of Tanya Taylor, Jason Wu and Cushnie et Ochs. See the gallery below for all of our favorite street style looks from day 2 of New York Fashion Week.
