On Feb. 10, just before New York Fashion Week kicks off, Saint Laurent will stage a much-hyped runway show at the Palladium in Los Angeles, the city Creative Director Hedi Slimane calls home. While some speculate that the event might be the California-obsessed designer's swan song for the label, it's provided Slimane an opportunity to showcase a few of his favorite homegrown muses, including Staz Lindez, the model who moonlights as a guitarist for The Paranoyds (and whose dad is Dire Straits guitarist Hal Lindes), as well as Clementine Creevy, the guitarist and lead singer of the band Cherry Glazerr.
The newest youngster to appear in Slimane's video portrait series for Saint Laurent is a young surfer and guitarist named Dylan Lee, and while you might not recognize the 18-year-old's name, you've certainly heard of his parents: Former "Baywatch" star (and perennial bombshell) Pamela Anderson and notorious rocker Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe fame. Slimane shot Lee in Malibu back in December, and even created the score to go along with his clip. This of course isn't the first time Slimane's cast a celebrity offspring-turned-model: Dylan Brosnan (son of Pierce), Jack Kilmer (son of Val) and Charlie Oldman (son of Gary) have all hit the runway for Saint Laurent, and his photos of Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, became a viral sensation when he released them on his online diary in 2011.
Keep your eyes peeled for these youngsters and more California-bred beauties when Saint Laurent lands in LA in just under two weeks.
