It looks like Robert Pattinson's Dior contract is extending well past "Twilight" mania. Serving as the face of the Dior Homme fragrance since 2012, the 29-year-old actor has expanded his relationship with the French design house. On Thursday, Dior revealed that Pattinson is the new face of Dior Homme's fall 2016 ready-to-wear campaign. For Pattinson and Dior fans alike, this is exciting news: It's the first time Dior Homme has ever had a celebrity front its apparel ads.
Karl Lagerfeld — yes, the one who is also creative director of luxury brands Chanel and Fendi — photographed Pattinson for the ads, all of which will be released April 1. Lagerfeld, for the record, is a longtime fan of the Dior Homme label, often sitting front row at the brand's ready-to-wear shows and routinely photographing its campaigns, most recently for the spring 2016 season. (It's worth noting that Lagerfeld has also lensed Pattinson's ex, Kristen Stewart, on a number of occasions, even going so far as to name her the face of Chanel's makeup line, with her first campaign launching in March.)
Lagerfeld captured the brooding actor in an appropriately moody black-and-white scheme. Sporting an impressively coiffed James Dean hairstyle (and a teeny-tiny earring visible in one of the two images, below!), Pattinson is looking better than ever. And with a big-budget blockbuster, "The Lost City of Z," set to premiere later this year, we're going to be seeing much more of his face as 2016 progresses. We're here for it.
