Adele is a woman of many talents, and lately she's been giving us nearly as many sartorial hits as musical ones. And several of those memorable looks came courtesy of Burberry. While the British singer has long favored the London-based brand for both red carpet and onstage purposes, the pair is now taking their relationship to the next level.
On Monday evening, Burberry announced that it would be dressing Adele exclusively in one bespoke gown for the duration of her 2016 world tour, which kicked off in Belfast, Northern Ireland Monday night. For the occasion, the 27-year-old artist debuted the black silk confection hand-embellished with floral sequins that was designed custom by Christopher Bailey himself.
In a release, Bailey said:
"It is a huge privilege to work with Adele. She is an incredible artist who I admire enormously for her approach to life, her sense of fun, her innate style and her massively powerful and moving voice and performance."
From now through mid-November, Adele is set to perform 105 shows throughout Europe and North America. If you're unable to snag a ticket (they're selling out rapidly), rest assured: The photo (and Instagram) evidence will be plentiful.
Note: This story has been updated to reflect the fact that Adele will be wearing one bespoke Burberry gown, rather than multiples.
