Harper’s Bazaar celebrated its 150th anniversary in New York City on Wednesday night, and a bevy of models, celebrities and fashion insiders joined the party, which included a late-night illuminated show of fashion imagery displayed onto the Empire State Building. A total of 150 photos, 500 feet in height, included Audrey Hepburn and Kate Moss shot by Richard Avedon and Andy Warhol. The publication's May cover star, Kendall Jenner, did the honor of switching the lights on for the historic building.

For the special occasion, guests appeared on the red carpet in a slew of varied looks, from Joanna Hillman's bright-blue Gucci dress in standout ruffles to Kris Jenner's all-black duster-and-gown combo (very momager, much #proudmama). We were especially fond of Linda Fargo's look for the night. The Bergdorf Goodman SVP Fashion and Store Presentation Director, who will be launching her own curated store for the retailer in May, wore printed pajamas, but styled it in a way that was fit for an evening soirée — by adding heels, a white collared shirt and her signature red lip.

Despite a wide-ranging choice of ensembles, one common theme did catch our attention: Sternums. The body part was fully on display by a number of attendees, including Jenner (in Redemption), Grace Elizabeth (in Roberto Cavalli) and Sailor Brinkley Cook, as well as Eniko Mihalik, Kate Bock and the designers behind Cushnie Et Ochs. If you just so happen to find yourself in need of a last-minute red carpet look, always go for a plunging neckline.
