Last night at Mixed Greens Gallery, Korean pop star-turned-designer Sang A Im-Propp showed off yet another solid collection.

While we so often see a quilted concoction–not that we would complain about toting a classic Chanel 2.55 or Marc’s Stam bag–it was incredibly refreshing to find a mix of leathers and textures done in a cool way. There were embroidered and painted pieces paired with perfectly perforated leathers and buffed python. The “Flash” bag–a collaboration between Im-Propp and artists Daren Newman and Sam Hardy–proved to be a winning idea.

We already know Blake Lively is a Louboutin girl. Now the red sole maestro has gone and designed a pair of heels in her name. But guess what? “The Blake” is pretty damn ugly. We’re sure Lively will pull them off gracefully, but we’re not fans.

Would you wear these guys?

When it comes to accessories, it doesn’t get much cooler than Dana Lorenz’s Fallon jewels and Taylor Tomasi-Hill.

So naturally, we’re dying over Fallon‘s vibrant fall campaign styled by the Marie Claire editor/street style icon.

In the editorial-style photographs by Sharif Hamza, model Jana K wears an array of the latest FALLON baubles–cuffs galore and egyptian-style necklaces, piled onto her arms and around her neck in true Tomasi-Hill fashion.

Today the New York Post reports that slap watches are the new Silly Bandz. Only, as anyone who came of age in the late 80s well knows, what the Post is hailing as “the new” is really just a slap bracelet (the short-lived accessories craze of the late 80s/early 90s) with a watch face on it. Which is exciting since slap bracelets were awesome. They were also banned because the metal strip inside the fabric that snapped over wrists often became exposed and caused injuries and they were subsequently banned from many schools. At least they were banned from my elementary school and that was a sad day for the girls of Lafayette Elementary School in Washington D.C.

“Slap watches — whose straight, plastic bands curl around a wrist when they’re slapped against it — are being aggressively pushed by some merchants as the latest in cheap, colorful, mix-and-match fashion,” the article reads. The story goes on to quote numerous retailers, including Henri Bendel, who are pushing slap watches and have declared silly bandz “over.” Allen Ash of Almar Sales Co., told the Post he expects to sell a million slap watches this year and said, “Silly Banz may still have a little life on the West Coast, but they are completely over on the East Coast.”

It would be putting it mildly to say that Victoria Beckham is a bag enthusiast. She reportedly owns around 100 Birkin bags. So it’s little wonder that the designer decided to create her own handbag line, and that her bags seem inspired by the classic shape and timelessness of the Birkin.

Victoria Beckham is one of the few celebrities to design a successful line that has been well received by fashion critics and celebrities and the general public. She took her time and worked with the right people to create a smart line with a clear aesthetic. So it follows that her handbag line is a hit, too. Beckham paired up with former Luella and current Marc by Marc Jacobs accessories design consultant Katie Hillier (who now designs her own adorable bunny-filled line) to create a collection of understated, boxy, lady like bags with a severe edge.

Two of the styles–the leather and nubuck shoulder bag and the hexagonal chain bag in crocodile–went on sale yesterday at Net-a-Porter. The leather and nubuck sold out within the hour, Elle UK is reporting. The nearly $14,000 crocodile bag (pictured right) sold out by the afternoon.

LONDON–Fashionista by birth, painter by training, jeweler at heart: Natasha Collis is a soft-spoken brunette who seems she will forever be 23. The daughter of creative director of Browns, Caroline Burstein, and granddaughter of boutique founder, the legendary Mrs. B., Natasha has quite a reputation to live up to.

Yet the petite jewelry maker has found her own path: tucked away on the Northern end of Ibiza, in a 400 year old studio, she spends day and night making tiny, one-off jewelry pieces. Based in St Miguel, a village full of artisans, her lifestyle is light-years away from the reputation the Spanish Island has for all-night boozing.

And her jewelry reflects this: no bling, no loud nonsense nor flashy logo. Only intimate, delicate arrangements.

As Oprah and her audience can attest, iPads make great gifts. So do laptops, e-readers, smart phones and other fun technology. But perhaps even more fun (not to mention less expensive) are the accessories out there to go along with these gadgets. Honestly, I’m not sure which I’d be more excited to unwrap–an actual iPad or a snake-embossed Rebecca Minkoff case for it. (Ok, probs an iPad.)

As more and more designers are smartly expanding into this market, there are now a plethora of fashionable ways to pretty-up your new toys, the sleekest of which still tend to look drab and impersonal. There are Mulberry patent leather laptop cases, Marc by Marc headphones, Tory Burch Kindle sleeves and so much more. Click through for the best tech gifts.

Last night fashion bloggers were invited for a sneak peek at the new Accessorize store here in NYC, which will officially open on Black Friday, or November 26. Accessorize, the UK-based chain store that is now found in about 70 different countries, is basically the H&M or Zara of accessories–think cheap and trendy jewelry, bags, trinkets.

The first Accessorize store opened in the US in Washington DC in June 2010. The company hopes to open 100 stores in the US by 2015, starting on the East Coast. You can buy online now, but everything is still priced in UK currency. That will change by the end of November, when a currency converter is added.

When I walked into the tiny, adorable shop on the corner of Christopher and Bleecker Streets, my first thought was, “Wow, Katy Perry would absolutely love this.” Turns out that she and other starlets, such as Taylor Swift and, uh, Kate Middleton, are big fans.

The target demographic is 18-35 years old, and the wares are flirty, girly, tongue-in-cheek, and fun. It’s not childish, however, like US accessories store Claire’s can be. It’s definitely meant for women, albeit those with a sense of humor about fashion. Prices range from $8-$80. And the prices are comparable to UK pricing: for example £12.00 earrings were marked as $20–that’s about an even exchange rate.

There’s a lot going on in the store, but once you focus, themes emerge.

In related news, Kerr might also be walking down the aisle naked because American Airlines lost luggage containing her wedding dress in July. Four months later, she still thinks she has a chance at getting it back and asked her Facebook friends for advice. {Racked}

Victoria Beckham might start showing in London instead of New York. “I’m very proud to be British and the brand is British,” said the designer. {Vogue UK}

I think I speak for many women when I say that heels are worth the suffering they inflict. Even the occasional tumble down subway stairs–not that this has happened to me (ahem)–is worth it for the miraculous changes they bring to the appearance of your legs, butt, and mojo in general.

I wear heels pretty much everyday. They rank in height from “I can walk across town in these” to “out of the cab and right to a chair, where I will dangle them for all to admire.” I’m just not a flats person. But I won’t lie and say that heels are always easy. Sometimes I’m happy to get the damn things off.

But there could be a solution: A British company called Afterheels has been getting some press in the past week or so for offering a £5 ($8) emergency ballet flat for those times when you just can’t bear to run around in your Balenciaga architectural stunners anymore.
