We Cook Green Papaya Salad (Som Tam!) with Chrissy Teigen and Her Mom in Our Next Episode of Haute Cuisine…Coming Soon

We traveled all the way to Los Angeles this month to cook alongside one of our favorite Tweeters of all time: Chrissy Teigen. The supermodel and huge foodie (just take look at her mouthwatering blog, SoDelushious.com) is known to tweet photos of herself getting spray-tanned (naked!) go after tweeters who make unsavory comments (Chris Brown fans!) and be refreshingly candid whenever possible.

Now the host of the new Vh1 show, The Model Employee, which just premiered earlier this month, Teigen is busy planning her fairy tale wedding to one of our favorite R&B crooners, John Legend.

Watch as we get a lesson in Thai cuisine from Teigen and Mommy Teigen, while talking fashion, modeling, and those pesky haters.

Milly Fall 2013: Hologram

God bless the stylist, the unsung hero during fashion week who mixes and matches pieces together to create not only a cohesive collection, but strong individual looks. When done poorly, it’s quite obvious. But on the contrary, when it’s good, it’s magical. Such was the case with Michelle Smith’s fall 2013 Milly collection, Illumination, which Read more →

J. Mendel Fall 2013: Tough Skins

Those wary of PETA should stay far away from J. Mendel’s fall 2013 collection: It was almost entirely made of fur, which isn’t a surprise since Gilles Mendel is best known for his luxe designs using exotic skins. But the J. Mendel girl isn’t the typical fur-wearing woman we’d normally think of–this season Mendel introduced Read more →

The Blonds Fall 2013: Slasher Sashay

For fall 2013, David and Phillipe Blond, the wacky design duo behind The Blonds, who’ve outfitted everyone from Gaga to Rihanna, introduced the world to the “Slasher Sashay,” a collection in which models looked every bit the deranged (yet very chic) killer.

Naeem Khan Fall 2013: Red Carpet Ready

Naeem Khan brought the heat to Lincoln Center with his fall 2013 collection. In a rather bizarre (and inconvenient) fashion week caused by Nemo, Khan’s collection sizzled at a time where warmth was definitely welcomed. The front row–composed of starlets like Shay Mitchell and Vanessa Hudgens–couldn’t stand up to the A-list wattage of Matt Damon Read more →

Inside the World of Herve Leger’s Ultimate Fangirls

Inside the World of Herve Leger’s Ultimate Fangirls

You’ll find them at every Herve Leger fashion week show: The fangirls (fan-women?) dressed to the nines in the house’s signature bandage dresses, sky high stilettos, cleavage up to their necks, big blowouts, and a full face of makeup. If the house that Max Azria built was spiritual, the Herve Leger show at Lincoln Center would be the ultimate pilgrimage.

So who are these women who are neither editors nor buyers, stylists nor celebrities?

They’re the brand’s most die-hard customers and they scoop up Herver Leger bandage dresses like they’re just another venti soy latte from Starbucks.

Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2013: Savile Row Meets Ivy League

The new definition of ‘prep’ hit the runway at Tommy Hilfiger’s fall 2013 show. Unexpected twists on classics included penny loafers that became knee-high boots and menswear pieces tailored with a feminine touch. My favorite look, hands down, was a cable-knit sweater bonded to leather–a piece that was both new and innovative.
