From topless American Apparel model to Woody Allen muse and now Prada campaign face, Léa Seydoux’s star is certainly on the rise. Prada is loving the 25-year-old French actress, having booked her as the face of their latest fragrance, Candy, and now she’s starring in the brand’s resort campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. Seydoux was charmingly goofy in the commercial for Prada Candy, dancing and screaming up a storm, flashing her pink panties with joyful abandon, but for Prada’s new resort campaign she’s much more solemn. Perhaps that’s because she’s focusing not dropping any of those clutches (she even manages to hold on to a mass of adorable Prada tricks).

Online Italian fashion and lifestyles mag Luuk Magazine just posted images from the spring campaign for Brazilian label Auslander (It’s spring in Brazil remember–lucky Brazilians). In the images, you’ll see Andrej Pejic looking flirty and Zombie Boy looking generally broody, which is sort of his default look. Our friends at Made in Brazil tell us that the two walked in the Auslander spring show (pic in gallery below) at Fashion Rio back in June, so this is a continuation of that pairing. Read more »

Miu Miu’s fall 2011 ad campaign starring 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld were not entirely well-received. Even though we thought the Bruce Weber-lensed ads were tasteful and age-appropriate, many criticized Miu Miu for using a model that the brand’s adult money-spending customers can’t relate to.

An image from the Miu Miu’s Resort 2012 campaign has just been released (we saw it on The Cut) and we wonder if the casting decision was informed by the mixed reactions to the Hailee Steinfeld campaign. Miu Miu has chosen Guinevere van Seenus, a 34-year-old modeling vet, as the latest face of the brand. David Sims shot the campaign, which has a more traditional campaign feel compared to Hailee’s care-free, natural shots. Read more »

Since Scott Sternberg released the polaroids of Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint and Tom Felton that would act as Band of Outsiders’ fall menswear campaign, we’ve been anxiously awaiting the debut of the women’s counterpart, and here it finally is!

This one features gorgeous Spanish actress Elena Anaya, who stars opposite Antonio Banderas in the new Pedro Almodóvar film, The Skin I Live In. Sternberg’s fall collection for Boy had a late ’70s preppy tomboyish charm that comes alive in these polaroids, which he shot about a week ago at a private residence in Beverly Hills. I’m not sure if it’s the hazy L.A. backdrop or Anaya’s jealousy-inducing physical perfection, but they make me want to buy everything in this collection even more than I already did. Click through to see them all!

Balmain–and its new diffusion line Pierre Balmain–is all about rock n’ roll. So who better to embody that sensibility than the awesomely rad, platinum-haired Abbey Lee, who in addition to being an A-list model, also fronts the band Our Mountain. Sigh. Could she be any cooler? (Answer: no) Read more »

Prada just released a new video companion to their fall ad campaign called “Real Fantasies” that, to be honest, is a pretty strange fantasy: part moving collage, part dollhouse, part real dancing models all set to slightly jarring futuristic music.

It’s an interesting, arty way to view the fall collection in motion, to be sure. Read more »

You might not have pegged John Leguizamo or Tumblr founder David Karp for models, but Uniqlo is bringing out their blue steel.

Uniqlo’s fall “Voices of New York” campaign, which drop this week, features Susan Sarandon, Laura Linney, John Leguizamo, Glee-star Darren Criss, Tumblr founder David Karp, and Esperanza Spalding (you know–the jazz singer who “stole” Bieber’s Grammy), WWD is reporting.

With two huge outposts opening in NYC on Fifth Avenue and 34th Street–traditional tourist hotspots–Uniqlo is expanding its “Made for All” philosophy with this super diverse cast.

Is this the first image for the forthcoming Versace x H&M campaign? A photo of Abbey Lee Kershaw in some patchwork chinoiserie and bold gold accessories has just landed on the Fashion Spot, via I Know Something You Don’t Know, and both sites are claiming it’s the first image to leak from the campaign. We buy it–Abbey Lee is Versace’s favorite model right now and those togs (and that belt!) are totes Versace.

UPDATE: We just heard back from H&M, the image is from the look book, not the campaign.

Well, this is certainly a good-looking couple. Scarlett, who? It’s a good day today, because we get we get to see the gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley twice. The stunner (and body in the Burberry body ads) and Ryan Reynolds are featured in the new ads for Brit retailer Marks & Spencer. Rosie is obviously an It-Brit so another stint with an iconic British brand makes sense. Ryan Reynolds as a choice is a bit of a head-scratcher, though he said in a statement (read it at People Style Watch) that as a Canadian, he grew up going to Marks & Spencer. So he’s totally legit. Companies with any sort of history are trying to capitalize on the current nostalgic heritage craze that shows no signs of dying down. Even though it’s only been around since the 1970s, Jordache jeans is trying to grab some of that nostalgia. And we fully support them, if these stills from an upcoming commercial–due out in September–are any indication of what is to come. Read more »

Scott Sternberg has a gift for getting only the most awesome people to wear is clothes and his latest campaign (we’ll call it a campaign, but it’s really just a bunch of scanned polaroids on the internet) is no exception.

Each season, to make us want his clothes even more, he shoots polaroids of celebrities wearing them, usually around L.A. James Marsden, Dave Franco, Donald Glover, Jason Schwartzman and Andrew Garfield (swoon @ all of them) have all taken a turn and, most recently, Kirsten Dunst modeled Sternberg’s boy. and girl. spring collections. For fall 2011, he chose Harry Potter’s Rubert Grint and Tom Felton (a.k.a. Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy) as his stars.

He told Style.com,

I love those films and the characters so much. They’re full of imagination and endless ideas. With the last film coming out this summer, it felt like a cool opportunity to capture this moment in these two actors’ lives, and give them a chance to poke a little fun at the whole thing too.

Sternberg shot the campaign at the Magic Castle in L.A. A couple of the polaroids popped up yesterday, and here are all the rest, via the BOO blog. Click through to see Ron and Draco playing with magic cards and imitating funny paintings and stuff!
