Grace Coddington Dedicated a Whole Chapter of Her Memoirs To Cats

There was no question about it: The first stop on our Fashion’s Night Out tour last night had to be Balenciaga, where Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington was on hand to meet her legion of fans and sign the limited edition scarves and totes that featured drawings she did of her cat, Pumpkin, wearing Balenciaga looks from various seasons.

If you haven’t heard, she likes cats. So do we. So obviously we had a lot to talk about.

Laetitia Casta on Modeling With Choupette: ‘I Was So F*****g Scared’

Laetitia Casta has done and seen a lot throughout her lengthy modeling career. Naturally, there have been some standout moments, one of which happened just this year: her 10-page, death-defying editorial in V‘s September issue, for which Karl Lagerfeld photographed her with his precious kitten Choupette. The latest Harper’s Bazaar UK cover girl (see the Read more →

Karl Lagerfeld’s Kitten Choupette Celebrates Her First Birthday With Shrimp Cocktail, Obviously

Karl Lagerfeld‘s superstar kitten Choupette turned one yesterday. Can you believe it? To celebrate, Karl Lagerfeld tweeted a photo of Choupette dining on five shrimp arranged in a lovely pinwheel formation with a celebratory candle in the middle. It wasn’t lit, don’t worry–Karl wouldn’t risk burning Choupette’s beautiful perfect face. Also we’re sure Choupette’s maids Read more →

Paul & Joe Designer Sophie Albou on Her New Kitten-Covered Kitchenware

We’ve always loved Paul & Joe for their preppy-meets-quirky aesthetic and their willingness to occasionally slap an adorable baby animal on an item of clothing. They’ve taken that signature charm and incorporated it into their latest category: housewares.

The fairly rapidly-expanding label (they recently added cat-themed cosmetics and childrenswear to their repertoire) just launched Paul & Joe La Maison, a huge collection of cookware, aprons, China, serving trays and more. And it’s all really, really cute. For the launch, there are three styles: a floral print, a fish print and a cat print! The latter, for reasons we shouldn’t have to explain, is our favorite.

We chatted with Paul & Joe designer Sophie Albou about her inspiration, her love of cats (but tragic allergy to them) and what’s next! Read on for our interview with her plus more pics of the adorable collection, which will be available on Paulandjoe.com and in Paul & Joe stores.

Karl Lagerfeld Designed a Collection Inspired by Choupette’s Eyes, ‘Bizarrely Loves’ Joshua Jackson

You know how people say, “You learn something new every day?” Well, we’re pretty sure we learn something new about Karl Lagerfeld every day. How one person can have so many layers and quirks and interests is beyond us. Someone could easily create an entire trivia game about him. [Ed. note: We're on it. Karl Pursuit is koming.] Anyway, our latest look inside the mind of Karl comes courtesy of his next door neighbors in Paris, who are of course Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson.

Exclusive: Meet Terence Koh’s Adorable Kitten, Skeleton, Star of United Bamboo’s 2013 Cat Calendar Shoot

This weekend I had the distinct pleasure of crashing the photo shoot for the 2013 edition of the now-famous United Bamboo cat calendar. This past Saturday, nearly 30 cats (and their owners) came through United Bamboo’s Soho studio to pose for photographer Noah Sheldon in the label’s special cat-size collection.

One of those cats happened to be Skeleton, the seven-month old kitten of famed artist Terence Koh. Fittingly, Koh, Skeleton and Koh’s husband Garrick Gott, were the last to arrive
