Last night, at Opening Ceremony’s launch of Rihanna for River Island and a RIHtrospective of Rihanna’s best looks, we caught up with Ottenberg to chat about how he came to be Rihanna’s stylist, his inspiration for her look, and what he thinks about her detractors.

So, um, Cher showed up at Paris fashion week.

Cher, people.

She sat front row at Gareth Pugh and when we found out (we were not there) we immediately went to Cher’s twitter, because ever since Gawker tipped us off about the awesomeness of her Twitter feed, we’ve been hooked. Transfixed is maybe a better word for it.

On Sunday night, the stars came out in droves to hit up all the Oscars after-parties and to show off their fancy dresses. We were pleasantly surprised to see Britney Spears (newly brunette!) in the bunch, looking the best she’s looked in years.

WWD caught up with the singer at Elton John’s party, where she apparently said to the trade about her dress, “It’s Versace.” Which would be all well and good, except that, well… it wasn’t.
