We know you’re not ones to turn down a free bag.
Especially if said bag is Rebecca Minkoff’s Beloved Mini, which usually retails for $395.
How do you win? Just click here, tell your friends about our newsletter, Off the Cuff, and you’ll be entered. The more friends you invite, the better your chances of walking away with the bag.
The lucky winner can thank Designer Social.com, where industry insiders go to trade in last season’s bags and jewelry and buy the newest and hottest accessories of the season. You can become a member with this exclusive invite from Fashionista to see how the fashion industry trades in, and trades up!
Here at Fashionista, we love playing buyer, stylist, beauty editor… the list goes on. If you do, too, Polyvore.com is probably proving to be an addictive guilty pleasure.
On Polyvore, you can create your own fashion layouts or look books with products or images from the web and share them with the world.
Today, the site is launching a contest with Lancôme. It’s called “Hypnotize Lancôme with Your Fashion Sense,” and it celebrates the new fragrance Hypnôse Senses. Create a layout that illustrates your sense of style, and one winner will win a $250 lancome-usa.com gift card and a bottle of Hypnôse Senses, signed by Daria. Five runners-up will each win $100 gift cards plus a bottle of Hypnôse Senses.
You can create as many sets as you like that sum up your unique fashion sense, as long as each one includes a bottle of Hypnôse Senses. After all, every fashion icon in the making needs a signature scent.
More details and entry instructions can be found here.
UPDATE: We just heard that Daria herself will be picking the winner!
Do you spend obscene amounts of time in the dark room? And the rest of your time flipping through magazines full of brilliant photography? Are you waiting for your big break?
Then grab your SLR and start shooting.
Tomorrow, W’s launching a contest for young photographers based around the theme,
‘Obsession’ - I’d shoot Christopher Kane’s Lolita gingham, since I’m still swooning. Each contestant can submit one photo which will be judged by a panel of experts, including W’s Creative Director Dennis Freedman. Twenty semi-finalists will be selected and their images will be posted online and submitted to a public vote.

I couldn’t think of anything my mom would want to do less than stand in front of a camera for a photo shoot. But I’m pretty sure there are many of you who can claim very differently. And really what’s better than a great shot by a pro that you can keep of you and your mom forever and ever?
Comptoir des Cotonniers is hosting its mom/daughter model casting this Sunday October 4th from 3-7 pm at its two New York locations (in Soho and in Bloomingdale’s). Along with starring in the campaign, the winning duo gets a trip to Paris followed by a trip to wherever the campaign’s location which in the past has included Greece and South Africa. (Now this jet-setting part of the prize I know Maureen Gardner could get down with.)
So tell your mom to get her casual French chic on and head to one of the stores with you this Sunday, if you’re in the area. She’ll love the together time, and we’re betting you will too.
We love contests, especially when we win them. I obsessively completed those Publishers Clearing House ones for years when I was a kid, completely convinced that maybe, just maybe, I was going to make my family rich.
Well, this new one from Neutrogena may not pay off your college loans, but we think it would be super fun. It’s called the “Flaunt Your Inner Celebrity” contest which, we realize, is not the coolest name in the world. But if you win you get to fly to New York for a makeover with one of our favorite makeup artists, Matin, who has worked with Gwyneth, Angelina, Jennifer Garner and pretty much every major American fashion magazine. After you get all fancied up, you’ll have a proper fashion photo shoot and of course get to keep all your shots.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to us. You can enter on Neutrogena’s Facebook page. and if you win, we expect an exclusive on some of those shoot outtakes.
President Obama rocked some (perhaps questionably-fitting) Levi’s when he threw out the first pitch at the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday, and we’re still convinced that Levi’s make the best cutoffs.
And now the jeans brand is encouraging Americans to embrace their heritage and show some American pride as a part of their Go Forth Campaign.
They are asking you to submit videos, photos, text messages, or audio files on any subject that reflects today’s new pioneering America spirit in some way.
Or, you can complete one of the tasks posted on the website, and show how you think that task reflects America.

If you ever thought to yourself, “God, it would be so nice to be Georgina Chapman”, here’s your chance to get the tiniest sliver of her life -
Stila’s offering the chance to have one of their Lip Colors named after whoever picks the best name! You:
1. Go to the site, and pick the name of the shade (no more than eight characters, but obviously something that uses your first name)
2. Write a tiny fifty-word essay on why they should choose you over the other 8,000 Alison’s trying to get their own lipstick shade (hint: this is the most important part)
3. Must do this before midnight this Sunday if you want to make it to seeing your name announced on July 1.
Good luck - especially if you’re named Jennifer/Jessica/Alison/Emily/etc
And who knows - since Stila does all the backstage makeup for Marchesa’s shows, you could yell out to Masha Tyelna that she’s wearing your color…
