Katie Hillier, the creative genius, or accessories designer, behind first Luella, Giles, Stella and then Marc by Marc Jacobs has finally launched something of her own.

It’s the bunny necklace at left, yes she’s really only launched one thing, and it goes on sale at Dover Street Market and Colette this week.

The bunny, whose bottom half is basically a fancy safety pin, is made from 18-karat gold with a diamond eye and retails for $1,325 - probably three or four times the amount her “Daddy, I want a pony” belt sold for ten years ago so here’s hoping for a Katie by Katie Hillier line very soon.

I’m not talking about Kate Moss (in fact, dare I say it on Fashionista, I might be over her), but Katie Grand.

She looked fantastic last night, mostly because she looked in need of a good scrub which is quite refreshing from the legions of blow-dried Barbies swooping into London this month.

We spotted her at Dover Street Market’s bash for the launch of the Standard perfume in a frumpy grey coat that looks like it came from a charity shop, clogs (ed. note: Eek!) with gold details, bare legs, messy hair held back with an elastic band topped with a gigantic green cartoon character bobble - and not a stitch of makeup.

But the kicker? An Hermès Black Birkin bag with a giant green dip-dyed raccoon tail hanging from it. Hear that PETA? Animal tails are about to explode.

Dover Street Market’s a cool place.

The four story department store’s owned by Commes Des Garçons’ Rei Kawabuko and her husband, Adrian Joffe and it has one of the most interesting edits in the world.

Included in the heady mix is a line of furniture by Finnish company Artek, called “10-Unit System”, designed by architect Shigeru Ban, that essentially makes the buyer an artist. It’s a modular system - ten easy pieces that you can make into what you want, a coffee table, a cupboard, a chair, a table. If your needs over the years change, so can the furniture, totally adaptable, modern and utterly genius.

According to Artek’s Anna Vartiainen, scent and fragrance played an important role in the space and vibe they created. So voila, a perfume collaboration between Commes Des Garçons and Artek was born.

Henry Holland for Topshop?

We wish. Instead he’s heading to their stateside flagship to celebrate the launch of his brilliant new tights collection, or so we hear.

The legwear, launched in collaboration with Pretty Polly, launched at Dover Street Market last week, though we’ve already seen them on Agyness and the Geldofs. The tights go for about $15 and mimic the pastel stripes of his AW09 collection.

We’d love Henry to be here for Fashion Week.

In fact, we think he’d fit into Intermix’s Fashion’s Night Out party, hosted by Sienna and Savannah Miller, quite well.

Advanced copies of LOVE at Dover Street Market!

If you remember when we mentioned that Gareth Pugh would be designing his own doll during Fashion Week, here’s the rest of the details about Barbie’s debut:

On April 8th, Dover Street Market in London will open up a space curated by Henry Holland to display the goods ready for sale in honor of Barbie’s big 5-0. And while reports first named Gareth Pugh as her stylist, it looks like he’ll be sticking exclusively to Barbie’s boy-toy, who’ll escort Barbie to the event.

While Henry Holland will be handling most of the Barbie-themed space, designers Danielle Scutt and Roksanda Illincic will team up to design her attire. So for those of you who were looking forward to your decked out Pugh doll, looks like you might have to settle for Ken instead. Or if you’re a real fanatic, you could always get one each of the happy couple and play fantasy wedding.

Bad news: The first copies of LOVE are still being printed - as in, right this second - so those advance copies at Harvey Nichols and Dover Street Market are happening only on Saturday.

Fun news: The Beth Ditto cover is a full naked page, kind of like when the major singer posed for NME in ‘07.

So make that a Valentine’s Day launch for LOVE and a cover that may not be as original as we’d hoped.
