Back in June, we started hearing rumors that makeup artist Tom Pecheux would be getting his very own makeup line at a major cosmetics company.
According to this morning’s WWD, that company is Estée Lauder. Pecheux will not be designing an eponymous line, but instead has been given the newly created title of creative makeup director.
The last superstar makeup artist to work with the Estée Lauder brand was the still dearly missed Paul Starr. His role as leader of the national makeup team, however, was not one with much product input. Pecheux will have his hands in everything going on at the flagship brand. Michael Kors may have been missing from Project Runway last night, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been logging in some quality time in Los Angeles. “We believe that the difficult decision relating to Prescriptives will allow us to redirect our resources to key strategic imperatives where we see the highest growth potential,” said Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Estée Lauder Companies.
I’ve always been a big fan of the 30 year old brand, especially their blended foundations. But I’m more concerned about breaking this news to my mom, who counts Calyx as her signature scent, along with so many others.
Time to stock up on the bottles, ladies.
Wrinkle free skin is something we can all get behind.
Free products to keep our skin fabulously youthful is something we often dream about.
Thanks to Estée Lauder those dreams are all coming true in the form of totally free Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex. Abby is completely obsessed with the original formula of this product and counts it as one of the reasons we all think she’s younger than she actually is.
The company is calling tomorrow night “America’s Night to Repair” and holding the brand’s largest sample giveaway to date.
