The latest edition of WWWWD has arrived, just in time for the weekend. We have yet to figure out who exactly is behind the pub, but that certainly does not lessen our enjoyment while reading.
Here are just a few of our favorite mock moments from “The Body Issue”
—Gisele’s transformation into supermodel. It involves Sarah Jessica Parker and a sheep.
—Forks are SO over, they need a new word for over
—A Gwyneth vs. Courtney Love legal smackdown
—Gareth Pugh’s very unique way of making Kombucha
—Restless Leg Syndrome = Kate Moss beauty secret
Read and Enjoy!
Well not really, but Gisele’s gone and bumped Kate Moss from her number one spot on MDC’s icon list.
Was it her marriage? Her numerous campaigns? Her ability to move flawlessly from Victoria’s Secret to Louis Vuitton? Maybe it’s because she’s one of the few models who really is just a model without a slash in sight.
So now Kate’s number two, followed by Claudia, Natalia and then Carolyn Murphy. And Naomi Campbell’s knocked out of the top five to number six.
Hope that doesn’t make her too upset.
Preparations for New York Fashion Week are already starting, but before we get to Bryant Park, we’ve got to hit Brazil.
Their Fashion Week at Sao Paulo is imminent, and to kick it off, they’re importing some big deals:
According to sources, both Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bundchen are heading down to stomp out the week on the runways.
Exciting, right?
Brazil houses some very cool labels, including Alexandre Herchcovitch, Maria Bonita, and Rosa Cha. Calvin Klein’s creative director, Francisco Costa, is from Brazil, as is Abaete designer Laura Poretzsky.
And let’s not forget the models: Gisele, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmerman, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio are all Brazilian -
As is Fashionista mascot, Cintia Dicker!

Our initial reaction to the news that Gisele “The Legs” Bündchen would share a Vogue cover with NBA powerhouse LeBron James: “Hold up! A black, male, athlete, and a model? Way to go Anna!”
But then we saw the cover, and we’re a little miffed.
It shows personality, sure, but the whole “Me, Tarzan. You, Jane,” vibe doesn’t sit well with the french fries we had for lunch.
We would have loved a tipoff with LeBron vs. Gisele. Or even a statuesque depiction of their exquisite physiques a la The David meets Aphrodite. After all, it is the Shape Issue.
And when you compare it to the stately presentation of George Clooney and Richard Gere on previous covers, well, where’s the fashion?
It is semi-refreshing. Or different, at the least.

Ever since Gisele resigned from Victoria’s Secret, we’ve been killing to know which new girls the brand’s got in their stable.
Well, today we’ve got one:
Behati Prinsloo.
The 20-year-old Namibian will make her first big appearance for Victoria’s Secret next month at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami, when the Pink line has a giant pool and pajama party.
Behati will be joined by veteran VS babe Miranda Kerr, plus Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado from Laguna Beach… wait, sorry The Hills… wait sorry, Total Uselessness.
Although, we guess anyone from US Weekly will be interested to know they’re hosting a bikini party - surely if Brody were still with Lauren Conrad, she wouldn’t allow such behavior?

Mega-model Gisele Bundchen is taking a memo from Kate Moss, designing her own capsule collection for Dolce & Gabbana.
According to Vogue UK, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel has been hounded by designers to create her own line, but stuck to strutting until her close friends, Stefano and Domenico, asked her to guest design for them. The news comes almost a year after rumors swirled that Gisele would have her own range of lingerie and bikinis at H&M.
No details on what the range will look like, but we’re pretty confident it’ll be a mix of slinky, sequined tops and miniskirts with hardware.
Of course, the irony is that Gisele is most famous when her clothes are off, but that doesn’t mean she can’t endorse (and vaguely “design”) a great slinky halter dress.
Models.com loves Gemma as much as we do!
After about a bazillion weeks of leading their Top 50 Models, Gemma is on her way to the MDC Icons list, joining other top beauties such as Kate, Daria and Gisele.
Gemma’s had a remarkable past five years- we’ve seen her in so many campaigns and editorials that we can spot her on the street even when she’s wearing a hat and huge sunglasses. But at 20 years old, is she really ready to be an icon?
The turnover of models is so fast now that they sometimes disappear after just a season. And, apparently, girls unable to order a drink can rank on a list topped by Kate Moss and Carolyn Murphy.
As much as we love Gemma, especially as of late, we can’t help but take this move as a sign of the modeling industry’s habit of going through models like Kleenex. And anyway, isn’t Gemma a movie star now?

Leaving Victoria’s Secret might be the best thing that happened to Gisele Bundchen.
After rumors of an H&M line, a Cacharel campaign, and a series of YSL ads all surfaced, Gisele is the face of yet another brand:
Aquascutum.
WWD reports she just shot the ads with Mario Sorrenti (our favorite of Kate Moss’ ex boyfriends). She’ll star with Jamie Dornan, the mildly famous model-turned-actor who romanced Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette (and Lindsay, Keira, etc. in real life).
Besides being sexy, the ad is something of a milestone: It means a brand that shows at London Fashion Week has scored a major celebrity face… something that hasn’t really happened yet.
Is this another sign of the London kids getting hauter? Or just Gisele’s way of keeping busy?

Catwalk Queen reports that someone besides TopShop wants to cash in on Kate Moss’ success:
A rumor flying around London pegs Gisele Bundchen as the latest model-turned-designer, with her first collection - a range of lingerie - debuting this Fall at H&M!
The rumor seems likely - After all, Madonna and Kylie Minogue are two major faces who “designed” their own H&M lines - but is this why Gisele left Victoria’s Secret?
And - more importantly - would you ever buy Gisele lingerie?
Our first thought is no, but then we remembered Elle Macpherson’s line of knickers - which we actually love…
While Gisele Bundchen hasn’t exactly disappeared in the last few years, her persona has switched from an untouchable top model to a Victoria’s Secret spokesbunny and sometime girl of Leo.
Somehow this season, that changed.
Witness Gisele’s rocking fashion comeback, which started in September with her bizarre appearance in The Devil Wears Prada, followed by a December \ Daily Mini cover and now, shots on the front of French Vogue and Elle for February.
Why the sudden resurrection? Well, Gisele is really pretty, really cool, and really recognizable to fashion novices who want to buy a magazine.
But Gisele is more than just a gorgeous supermodel - she’s a healthy looking girl. And in the current too-thin tempest that’s sweeping through fashion, she seems to be some sort of proof that models can be both chic and (relatively) curvy at the same time. Whether she’ll continue her winning streak after Fashion Week - and what kind of models we’ll see on the runways next week - is the hot topic in designer showrooms, casting offices, and modeling agencies all over town.
In other words, stay tuned…
