Rock-n-Shop is the latest pop-up shop to hit New York. But unlike others we’ve frequented, this one is adding live music to the mix.
The event is hosted by Openhouse Gallery and is designed to marry music with fashion, while focusing on the current rocker-chic trend. It will showcase twenty-five different apparel and accessory brands, as well as live performances by six indie rock bands.
The event will give designers and their brands the opportunity to create their own rock-meets-fashion, mini shop-in-shop by giving each 150 square feet of space in the gallery. During the three days bands and artists will “pop-up” to perform.
And when you’re done shopping and listening, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to VH1 Save The Music.
More details after the jump!
Ed note: We know the picture doesn’t really have anything to do with the event, but Kate and Jamie are kinda the epitome of rock-meets-fashion, right?

Did you guys hear about that Clothingline sale? They’ve got samples from Theory, Gryphon, Alice + Olivia, Helmut Lang and bags from Kooba. Some of the Gryphon coats are going for $80.
I didnt see it anywhere, but anyway I have gone twice already and might go back tomorrow… All the guys in my office were so excited they got bags of stuff. Get there early!

It’s at 261 W. 36th St. (between 7th and 8th Ave), 2nd floor. All major cards are accepted but today’s the last day and the doors will be closed by 6:30…
But we found this one from Topshop that’s almost as cute, probably more wearable and definitely more affordable.
The jacket’s made for that awkward, in between seasons time, when it’s not too cold but still not warm enough to leave your apartment with just a cardigan; it’s flouncy skirt will complement the Philip Lim skirts we’re craving for spring; and, navy blue looks so much more chic than black once the sun actually feels warm.
Now if Topshop would finally open their phantom New York store, we could finally stop paying the annoying shipping charges.

Got Her: Right outside our door, on Mott Street near Prince, getting out of a car.
Stalked Her: Because her red coat was billowing behind her, and we had to see the rest.
Shot Her: Because her mix of five colors actually looks cool rather than crazy.
She Says: “The shoes are Pierre Hardy, the jacket is Gryphon, the bag is YSL, the scarf is Wolford, the dress - I don’t remember, the necklace is from Curve, and, oh, the coat, the coat is Matthew Williamson.”
We Say: Hand over that coat! You’ll still look good without it…
