The Public Relations department at Nicole Miller is in dire need of some fabulous interns to start at the end of this month and work at through October. Ideally they’d love to find a junior or senior undergrad majoring in fine arts, design, or something along those lines, but it’s not necessarily a requirement.

You guys know the basic drill. It’s a must that you love fashion, are crazy organized and don’t mind doing whatever is necessary to pull things together at the last minute. Such is life during show season.

Nicole’s showing on September 11th so you’ll definitely be super involved in pulling that together. You’ll also track samples, credits, assist with market research, as well as helping out the licensing department.

There’s always a flood of e-mails pre-Fashion Week: How can we get tickets to fashion shows?

Well, you can buy your way in via American Express - though you’ll be seeing last season’s collections - or you can be a socialite, an actress, an editor, a buyer, a pop star, a photographer or you can stand on the 6th Avenue sidewalk and watch everyone leave the tents which is kind of like a fashion show in its own right.

Or, if you want to go to the NIcole Miller show you can answer both of these questions correctly and McDonald’s will give you two tickets. They’ll also give you a $250 Visa gift card (a new outfit maybe?) and a $100 gift card to McDonald’s, which is a whole lot of McFlurry’s - or McCafe’s, “the official coffee” of New York Fashion Week if you can hang on to that gift card until this summer.

So officially, Fashion Week doesn’t start until Friday morning.

Unofficially, everyone’s so excited they decided to pack themselves into sweltering hot Gemma last night to celebrate the Express sponsored launch of VogueTV’s Model.Live, (yes we know it’s already been on for weeks but that’s so not the point).

Anyway, we’ll be checking in with the girls, Madeline, Cato and Austria in New York, London and Paris, (Milan will be done virtually), to see how they’re doing, what they’re learning and whether or not castings are still fun twenty days into the process.

So far we have these two pictures for you and the fact that Cato’s first show of the week will be Nicole Miller.

Get used to their faces - we think you’ll be seeing them a lot.

Prada just filled their Soho store windows with lace, and we’re officially ready for Fall.

We expect to see the feminine fabric everywhere come September - whether it’s a bodysuit peeking out from under a tank a la Charlotte Ronson or an entire dress - but we can’t really get a handle on lace tights.

They popped up under dresses at Chanel and Nicole Miller last February and Kova & T, maker of famous latex leggings, just released these.

We know they want to be sexy - they’re trying desperately to be hot - but we just see Madonna circa Like a Virgin and it looks, dare we say it - trashy?
