I’ve admitted this before on the site and I’ll stand by it now—I’m a huge Nicole Richie fan. I love her personal style, think House of Harlow jewelry is totally cute, and find her charming and funny whenever she does interviews.

Sure, her fame initially came about for no apparent reason and Rachel Zoe obviously had much to do with her style evolution years back, but I just can’t help but like her.

And I don’t hate how she’s working the news cycle right now. It’s actually pretty smart.Yesterday the world got a first viewing of her new son Sparrow on the cover of People, and today WWD gives us a glimpse of her new contemporary line, Winter Kate (daughter Harlow’s middle names.)

We know you love their site. We love their site. And I made it a priority to sit down with Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power while in LA at the end of July to learn how they left the world of print and moved onto the internet. And more importantly, how they ended up putting together one of the most successful fashion sites among the millions.

Inside, how they blew up, where they’re going and what the launch of their book means
to them.

Anyone who talks to me for more than five minutes will likely become aware of how pop-culture obsessed I am. It seeps from my pores and I’m not ashamed of it, well, most of the time.

And while I’ve not yet been pregnant myself, I fully admit to analyzing and critiquing the maternity stylings of Hollywood moms-to-be. Let’s just call it research. Gwyneth always looked incredible. And I’m fairly certain Gisele is going to work a laid-back chic that I will love. But my favorite has to be Nicole Richie. Love.

But I’ve always wondered how on earth she still rocks those JET jeans that we’re obsessed with when she’s super prego. I mean, the girl is crazy tiny, but c’mon. Turns out that designer John Eshaya was making Nicole (and other celebs like Christina Aguilera) custom maternity jeans with a stretch belly.

And now the service is available to anyone here. Maternity jeans have definitely come a long way in the past few years, thank god. But the JETs may be the coolest yet.

Considering I’ve spent the better part of today reminiscing about my childhood, either in writing or just in my own head, it’s not surprising that I was drawn to this House of Harlow ring that totally gives off old-school mood ring vibes.

This one is tiger’s eye so it won’t actually change colors on you. Though mine always just went back to black anyway. I guess I was an angst-y youth.

I kind of avoided looking at Nicole Richie’s collection for quite a while which is completely silly because I love her luxe boho style. Actually, maybe that’s it…I’m just incredibly jealous.

But now I’m sold. And even looking forward to seeing what she does with shoes.

If you happen to be a college student in Austin, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis or Los Angeles, and a fan of the Lauren Conrad Collection, then you’re in luck.

Lauren’s kicked off a college-tour of her line, The Lauren Conrad Collection College Tour, bringing a runway show to each school along the way. Apparently, she’s figured out that her key customer is young, in school, and probably in a sorority, and much more likely to buy the clothes if she graces the middle of class schedules with a fashion show.

Confirmed schools include Georgia State, Georgia Tech, University of Texas at Austin, University of Minnesota, Brandeis and BU, and shows will go on through the next month.
