A few months ago, I spent a good three days a week trekking to my local Bikram studio, but getting back into practice seemed daunting - until now.
As if staring at models all day isn’t enough, now we can watch Anja Rubik while working out, too; she’ll be featured in the new Yoga game for Nintendo Wii. She’ll lead players through the different asana - those are “postures” in yoga-speak - alongside an official yoga guru.
Apparently Anja’s a big yogi. She does it to stay in shape and manage her stress and we assume, to help look the way she does. We can’t really imagine better motivation than having a mega-model work out next to you, or better yet telling you what to do.

If you’re an avid Fashionista reader, you’ll have noticed that once in a blue moon, our server crashes.
Those moments are usually punctuated with an “Oh, Shit” and a race to the TV to play Nintendo. So when an invite arrived combining our two loves - Nintendo and fashion - we kind of jumped for joy.
Nintendo DS is hosting a day spa at the Bryant Park hotel from September 9th through 11th which means people from Sephora will be on hand for hair styling, make-overs, and the best part - lash applications.
We made our appointment after Rogan but before Cynthia Rowley so we’ll look refreshed at Zac Posen five hours later.
Hopefully there’s lots of espresso, and maybe some Mario, on hand, too. We’re exhausted already.
The screen geeks who work at Nintendo must have fashion on the brain -
Not only are they releasing POP CUTIE!, a game that’s all about trendspotting, but now they’ve also released My Fashion Studio, a game about fashion design.
Players must work their way up from apprentice to a famous fashion designer to the owner of the house by cutting fabric, folding and ironing clothes, and sewing buttons, sometimes against the clock.
The game sounds kind of repetitive and boring (oh, and, only for 10-year olds, we’re guessing), but here’s a fun fact:
The name of the fashion designer whose approval you must earn? Zoe.
We’re assuming a metallic, drapey, one-shouldered gown is in the lineup.
Well, it was bound to happen.
Today, Nintendo announced it would sell a video game called POP CUTIE! that’s all about street style. Technically, they’re calling it a “Street Fashion Simulation,” and players will buzz through virtual streets in Tokyo, New York, and Paris picking out their favorite “trends.”
The game will be available for Nintendo DS, which has started aggressively marketing itself to women in the past few months (did you notice those commercials with Mandy Moore and Liv Tyler?).
Faran isn’t sure anything can beat Brain Age 2, and Natalie insists Super Mario Brothers is the only thing to play on DS, but this could get interesting:
Will girl gamers in the middle of nowhere suddenly be inspired to become trend spotters?
