“Are you stalking me,” asked Isaac Mizrahi last night when I told him how much I loved hearing him speak at the 92nd Street Y a few weeks ago?
“Oh my god no,” I whimpered as the color drained from my face.
“Kidding!! I’m SO glad you enjoyed it, that’s so great to hear! It was so fun and I’m so happy you loved it,” he squealed in delight.
While my heart slowly started beating again we talked cheesecake and tartan and the impossibility of guest cheesecake designers at the launch of his new line for QVC, Isaac Mizrahi Live. The party was held on a soundstage with a cubed centerpiece made from TVs - tiny old portable TVs, giant flat screens, a rainbow of TV variety - playing Isaac’s colorful show.
I’ve never watched QVC (alas, no TV), but by the end I found myself determined to own a tartan Isaac blanket. I was not, however, determined to tell Ashley Olsen (who huddled in a corner with her sister and publicist) that I loved hearing her speak at the Y, too. One stalking insinuation’s enough for a night (a lifetime really).
We love Rachel Zoe.
What? You didn’t know?
And we’ve been searching for the perfect faux fur vest for some time now. Though they appear to be everywhere, finding the right one is easier said than done. There are lots of options, but I haven’t come across many cute ones for less than a $100 (and let’s face it, this isn’t something I know I’ll want to wear next year). In fact, the best one I’ve found thus far happens to be from Rachel’s collection for QVC - and it’s only $79.
Unfortunately, the smaller sizes are sold out, so I’m kicking myself for not buying it sooner. I was initially worried about the quality of a $79 faux fur vest, but it’s practically gone and dozens of commenters appear to love it.

We commented on WWD’s Erin Fetherston story this morning - excited that the designer was jumping on the short film bandwagon and bringing Juliette Lewis along with her.
Unfortunately, Erin’s camp’s just asked us to set the record straight. There will be a film, made with filmmaker Marisa Crawford, but it will star the Calfornia native’s friends and muses - not Juliette Lewis.
And contrary to the WWD story, the one Hedi Ferjani confirmed, there’s no confirmed project in the works with QVC either.
So what we really want to know is, who’s talking to WWD and where can we find this Hedi Ferjani impersonator?
