Eye of the Tiger

houseofharlowtigerseyering.jpgConsidering I’ve spent the better part of today reminiscing about my childhood, either in writing or just in my own head, it’s not surprising that I was drawn to this House of Harlow ring that totally gives off old-school mood ring vibes.

This one is tiger’s eye so it won’t actually change colors on you. Though mine always just went back to black anyway. I guess I was an angst-y youth.

I kind of avoided looking at Nicole Richie’s collection for quite a while which is completely silly because I love her luxe boho style. Actually, maybe that’s it…I’m just incredibly jealous.

But now I’m sold. And even looking forward to seeing what she does with shoes.

Dead Ringer

ingodwetrustring6-18.jpgBefore you say anything, know that I am fully aware that it’s just about time for me to enter a 12-step program to deal with my jewelry obsession.

But not before I snatch up this ring from In God We Trust.

The shape looks like a silhouette of a seriously huge diamond dazzler, and is delicate enough to contrast with my usual pieces. Plus, it’ll look super chic next to our newrough diamond ring.

‘Tis true that maybe I don’t need more rings, but it’s on sale for $66 at Revolve so I say done deal.

The Answer to Your Jumpsuit Prayers

erin fetherston's jumpsuit at revolve.jpgThe white jumpsuit at left was one of the best things about Erin Fetherston’s Spring 09 collection.

So we thought you should know where you can get it - especially since it’s only one place: Revolve’s The List.

That would be their rotating list of super exclusive, high end product. They’re kicking off summer with Erin’s white silk, overalls-like jumpsuit.

They show the slouchy look with a bandeau, like Erin did on the runway, but it’d look equally cute with a cotton tee or silk tank and its forgiving shape might be the best way for most mortals to welcome the jumpsuit trend.

It costs $905 and comes with the added reassurance that you’ll likely be the only one wearing it - no matter where you go.

Junk in a Goyard Trunk

goyard trunk revolve.jpgRevolveClothing.com might have found the best way to stay afloat this season - sell something no one else has.

They lauched “The List” at midnight last night and they’ll be featuring one-of-a-kind, super exclusive limited edition objects and art.

To start, they’re offering a custom made white Goyard trunk with black and red racing stripes across the top. The trunk is filled with one hundred Assouline photography books on fashion, design and architecture and biographies on houses like Chanel and Lanvin.

Revolve will add equally ridiculous and cool one-offs every few weeks.

Meanwhile, the trunk can be yours for $20,000. In which case we’d suggest removing the books and living inside.

Adventures in Copyright: Channeling Chanel

chanel 255 funny copy.jpgReader Claire, from Sydney, drew our attention to this Slow & Steady Wins the Race bag, at right.

Though it could never pass as one of the actual 2.55’s hanging at the Zaha Hadid exhibit in Central Park right now, we all know the association this bag is trying to ride on.

Even though $100 seems like a lot for a canvas bag, we can’t help but think this could be a hilarious purchase, especially if you attached a little lego man where the double C clasp would go (like in the earlier versions of the bag, anyway) - we suggest Band of Outsiders’ (or, Toys”R”Us).

But anyway, Claire wonders: “Somehow I feel this is more an attempt at irony rather than a lame ploy to rip off luxury labels.” (We’re guessing it’s the canvas for her, too.)

And so she asks, “What do you think?”
