Housing Works is throwing a party with Robert Verdi tonight.
The TV stylist is working with the NYC charity to raise money for those living with AIDS through an exclusive sale of products from Steven Alan, Richie Rich, John Bartlett, Jonathan Adler and more.
While the VIP hour is from 8-9, the event opens to the public from 9-10 and will be full of brand new merchandise from all the designers, not to mention food and drinks, at their Chelsea location: 143 West 17th St.
And if a good cause, fun designers and free food aren’t enough for you - we’d place a pretty high bet that Simon Doonan‘ll be around.
Amidst all this model madness there’s one particular doll face we’ve been missing.
We haven’t seen Gemma Ward since, well, we didn’t actually see The Black Balloon, so since the preview for The Black Balloon. Sister Sophie popped up at Australia Fashion Week, but Gemma’s all but disappeared since an Italian Vogue editorial with Lily at this time last year.
Until now - she’s DJing for the Doe Fund at The Angel Orensanz Foundation next week. Tickets, $150 here, buy you a few hours of drinking and dancing to tunes spun by Gemma, Byrdie Bell, Richie Rich, Olivia Palermo and Christian Siriano.
When you see her, tell her fashion misses her.
Pamela Anderson’s Vivienne Westwood contract must be up.
The formerBaywatch star said, “I prefer to be naked, but if I’m not, I want to be wearing Richie Rich.”
And so it naturally follows that she’d develop a line with the old half of Heatherette. The New York-based designer and Pamela, who closed Richie’s super glittery Fall 09 show, are bringing us Muse - an eco-friendly line of leather free shoes, hoodies, skirts and swimwear.
But something tells us she won’t be throwing away her Stella’s anytime soon.
First, she landed herself the Spring 09 campaign with Vivienne Westwood.
Then, she made a latex-ed appearance at Richie Rich earlier this month.
Now? She’s coming back full force for Vivienne - This time, for Fall, and on her runway.
So if you have an invite to Vivienne’s show in Paris next Friday, we suggest bringing your camera.
(PS Does anyone else think all this fashion participation might mean bigger fashion plans are in the works for the former Playmate?)

Pamela Anderson crashed Richie Rich’s runway at the Waldorf-Astoria tonight.
She pranced, skipped and kicked her way down the catwalk, after the model finale, a singer, a troupe of half-naked dancing men, a Kat Deluna performance, Tinsley, Aubrey O’Day and someone else who looked vaguely familiar, in a gold, thong one-piece bathing suit with plastic coins glued to it - the crowd went nuts.
That crowd included the Paper Mag team and Lynn, Ellen Von Unwerth, Cory & the Cobrasnake, a life-sized pig and Ice-T (who’s randomly popped up at different Fashion Weeks twice now) and his wife whom we were painfully close to in the elevator.
The clothes were, well, not Heatherette, but not much of anything. They were tight, they were bright, there was a one armed spandex unitard in a purple print and lots of plastic coins inexplicably glued to the men’s barely there swimwear. There was one printed summer dress we’d actually wear but we’re pretty sure that wasn’t the point of the show.
It was to have fun and of course, with Richie, it’s always fun.

There’s been a lot of “What’s going on?” with Heatherette this year, but we procured the full story from Richie Rich himself at the Screaming Mimi’s dinner last night in Chinatown. Here’s the deal:
The Weisfeld Group, which bought Heatherette for $6 million in 2005, declined to renew Richie and Traver’s contract at the end of their three year tenure. The company - which also owns Fubu - then claimed ownership of Richie and Traver’s names, leading to a state Supreme Court hearing earlier this Fall.
“That’s the real reason we couldn’t launch Celebutante,” says Richie, “Because it was Celebutante by Richie Rich, and the Weisfeld Group wanted to block that.”
Thankfully, Richie won the hearing, and his name will go on a new line of dresses - just called “Richie Rich” - sometime in 2009.
Stay tuned, little glitter junkies…

The official release for Richie Rich’s album, Celebutante (yes, that’s the same name as his Hot Topic shoe line), is now out:
The electro-techno-glitter-pop (ok, we made that up, but we’re sure it’ll have an equally hip hyphenate for genre) mix drops October 22nd, to be followed by a huge club kid bash the following night at Citrine, a Flatiron club that’s so new it’s not even open yet.
Look out for a red carpet that’s sure to host Lydia, Tinsley and every other well-glittered socialite in Richie’s care, not to mention everyone that wishes Heatherette would get back together just for the shows.
So cool, you wish you didn’t care, right?
More news from the business of Richie Rich:
He’s launching a new solo line.
For Hot Topic.
It’s going to be called Celebutante, and we have no idea who will be the new face - but since Avril Lavigne and Perez Hilton have both done lines for the mall brand, maybe they can get together and pose in the latest line of dresses, tees, and jeans.
Then again, Tinsley would look pretty cute in a t-shirt and shorts, too.
But where’s Traver? “He didn’t want to do it,” sighs Richie. “They asked Heatherette to do it initially, but Traver said no, so I was like, well I’ll do it! I love Hot Topic!”
Is Heatherette finished?
We still can’t get a straight answer, but here’s something that helps our decision:
Tonight, Richie Rich is launching his own line of shoes in the Lower East Side… all by himself.
The shoes are different from the super cute footwear Heatherette already made for Irregular Choice, but their muse is the same:
We hear the model / actress / writer / cat lover / philanthropist / shiny blonde Lydia Hearst will preside over the party, and wear Richie’s very first pair of solo heels.
Cinderella, scoot over (and you, too, Carrie Bradshaw).
