Fashion’s Mystery Man, 28, Journalist & Stylist
Got him: Just before Viktor & Rolf in Paparazzi Alley (our new nickname for the walk through the Jardin des Tuilieries, the necessary route to the Espace Ephémère).
Stalked him: Because he’s at every show at every fashion week, almost always front row, and no one knows who he is.
Shot him: Because he’s all about the color in a world of bondage shoes and peaked shoulders.
He said: “I am a stylist and journalist in China”
We say: Sorry, between your whisper-soft voice and strong accent we can’t quite understand you. But that’s okay, your look speaks for itself.

For the less business-minded, more creative types, there’s always your stylist internship.
Katie Mossman’s worked with Numero, Bazaar and a handful of international Vogues and she’d like some help for fall (at least, maybe longer), two to three days a week (working with a stylist can be all consuming, don’t be shocked if those days include weekends).
You’ll help on set, preparing stories, dressing models, ironing, steaming, organizing the closet, tracking samples and with general administrative tasks.
The job will be easier if you have a Blackberry or iPhone and you know the city like the back of your hand. Basically, she wants interns who are extremely motivated, would kill for the position and have no problem waking up at 5am for an outdoor shoot in the snow.
If that’s you, email Katiemossmanintern@gmail.com with a very short cover letter and your resume.
Stylist and designer Liz McClean is looking for an “amazing intern”. Naturally, she’s turned to you.
Requirements:
“Currently live in New York, know their way around the city, know the subway system, be very interested in fashion styling, know magazines, designers, and photographers, feel comfortable driving in the city, will be doing pick ups and returns, running errands, may get to go on photoshoots, non-paid, start asap, full-time or able to be on call, stylish!”
Send your resume and a short cover letter to Liz’s assistant at rachelwortell[at]gmail.com.
Luck!
Super stylist Katie Mossman needs an intern, so if you’re interested in working on shoots for Numero, Harper’s Bazaar and German Vogue, then you also need to be interested in:
- Running around the city to different brands
- General office/administrative work
- Helping on set - “yes, if you prove yourself, you may be dressing Gisele” [Editor’s Note: That’s a direct quote from Katie’s first assistant.]
- Coming in 2 -3 days per week, one of which must be Thursday
Plusses: Owning some sort of Blackberry or iPhone, having a flexible schedule (so, no pouting if you there’s a 6am Saturday call time), knowing your way around the city - and, oh yeah, knowing who Katie Mossman is.
Interested (read: qualified) parties should e-mail resumes and cover letters to katiemossmanintern[at]gmail.com.
Corduroy magazine (think Interview, except more indie/artsy), is looking for a few good stylists.
They’re looking for fashionistas who can handle spreads as well as celebrity portraiture, so it sounds like actual experience is a must.
(In fact, they say they’re always on the hunt for contributors - writers, photographers, whatever - so we suggest contacting them if you want to work for them in general.)
Send your info to submissions@corduroymag.com, and good luck.
