Streetwalker: Fresh Flowers

tracey feith streetwalker two.jpgRachel, 23, Profession: “up in the air”

Got Her: Strolling down Mott, pre-rain.

Stalked Her: Because really, when a dress that bright walks by, you can’t help but stalk - at least with your eyes.

Shot Her: Because nothing says summer like a floral maxi dress and now it feels like summer’s almost over; we had to capture the moment.

She Said: “I love anything full of color - and florals. I never wear black.”

We Say: Thanks for brightening our day!

Quote of the Day

“It’s very casual with the whole family and a few friends like Jason Wu, BJ Blum, and the gallery owner John McWinnie. Typically we sit down post swim, so the dress code is bathing suits under a light summer dress like Tracy Feith or Philip Lim. We decorate the table with a mix of roses, hydrangeas, and irises picked from the garden. The table is dressed with a large hand-embroidered tablecloth inherited from my grandmother, a mix of white French linen napkins, and vintage plates found at a local antiques fair. We pull up a wood bench with big cushions to squeeze in more people and protect ourselves from the sun with large parasols and straw hats from Anne Moore. The meal is a colorful, flavorful mix from local farms and purveyors such as Round Swamp Farm for delicious salads and homemade raspberry pie, Lucy’s Whey for cheese, Iacono farm for organic, free-range chicken, and pick-yourself strawberries from the farm down the road.” —Olivia Chantecaille to Vogue on her “casual” holiday weekend lunch. We’re sticking to burgers and dogs on the grill, thank you very much.

It’s A Good Thing

alexandanisilverringfortonic.jpgTonic, the website and media company devoted to all things “morally, mentally, or physically inspiring” has commissioned Alex and Ani jewelry designer Carolyn Rafaelian to create a Mother Earth Collection for them to sell on their site.

The bangles, necklaces and key chains range from $38-$158 with 10% of the proceeds going to World Hunger Year, which fights hunger in the US and abroad and another 10% to the Tonic Foundation.

The philosophy of the site is so granola, and we love it. And the pieces are totally cute. We’re planning to wear them with all the Tracy Feith for Target stuff we just picked up.

See you at the campfire. Kumbaya.

Trovata to Montauk

trovata home site picture.jpgThe best bit of everything we learned this weekend: Trovata’s popping up.

We were in Montauk for Sergio Rossi’s dinner in honor Alexandra Richards’ Social Life cover, which was held at Sole East, when we learned that the back of the hotel will soon play host to a Trovata pop-up shop.

It’s kind of the perfect fit for John Whitledge’s nautical surf line and makes us worry about the damage it’ll do to our wallets.

What’s more dangerous than a beach town with nothing but beer, homemade ice cream, Tracy Feith, Screaming Mimi’s and Trovata?

Chanel-o: Karen Elson’s already shot Chanel’s Cruise ads with Baptiste Giabiconi and Karl behind the camera. She’s got the wig, the high waisted not-pants and the jewels. We’re jealous. {Modelinia}

Goodie-Nude-Shoes: Around this time of year we consistently wish we could change the shade of half the shoes in our closet from black to nude. So for your shopping wish list, enjoy. {FabSugar}

Tracy Feith to Target Moondoggie

sarah jessica parker in tracy feith dress.jpgIf the Thakoon for Target buzz has already disappeared (it has), then here’s another Target bit to keep you going:

WWD reports that the next Go International designer to serve the masses will be surfer-turned-designer Tracy Feith.

You can expect the line to look exactly as you might expect - The color palette consists of “lollypop red, Persian turquoise, seafoam green, neon orange and pink, and Saturn lime,” and Tracy’s inspiration board is crowded with “generations of beachgoers, bathing beauties of the Fifties and Hawaiian-style painted flowers.”

Most items will retails between $14.99 to $44.99, though there will be at least one pricey option - the cropped leather jacket, retailing at $139.99.

Which, at Target, is the approximate price of decking out your kitchen / decorating your room / several Go International pieces.

The collection hits stores May 17, just in time for Hamptons-goers in need of an hibiscus print tube top.
