ninemoviekatehudsonformidday.jpgBe Italian: We totally agree on the Penny Lane girl crush of course. We can’t even describe the levels of excitement we have for Nine. And Kate never fails to look super cute. Seriously this press tour is going to be out of control fashion-wise. {WhoWhatWear}

Not That Lisa Kline: But the one who styled Sarah and the rest of the Palin clan during the campaign finally comes out to clear the air. And she was asked to do the big makeover during a holiday weekend. Yikes on so many levels. {NY Times}

Change the Date: Fashion’s Night Out is moving to Friday September 10th so that you can drink champagne, shop, and shotgun beers all night long without having to show up for work the next morning. Sweet. {WWD}

That’s Me in the Corner: I (Abby) remember when all my REM tunes were actually on cassette tape. Hence I was automatically drawn to this one-off collaboration between Michael Stipe and Maison Martin Margiela. Though I don’t think I would try wearing it as an eye patch as someone in the shot did. {Racked}

jefferson and anouck.jpgBest Of: Now that Fashion Month is actually and officially over (too many forgot about Giles yesterday), the best of the month’s fashion’s been rounded up for your viewing pleasure and consequent envy. {Style}

Watch Out: Just in case you were trying to ignore her, two days after Becka Diamond was named NylonTV’s newest host, the actress is Who What Wear’s Girl of the Month - a coveted title that means she’s not going anywhere. {WWW}

Real or Rubbish: There’ve been a few whispers suggesting that once Condé Nast finishes their 25% cuts, they’ll bring Elle on board from Hachette. In that case, does Condé own every mainstream fashion magazine? And imagine a holiday party at which Katie Grand, Anna Wintour and Joe Zee all answer to the same boss. {FWD}

Tweet, Tweet: Britt and I developed a pretty serious Twitter addiction over the past 10 days. We literally couldn’t stop ourselves and almost lost it when our phones died. She’s already in London, so you can keep up by following Fashionista_com. {Twitter}

Front Row Fabulous: I’ve been thinking about this outfit that Carine wore since I saw her walk into the tents that morning. Utter perfection. {WhoWhatWear}

Jak & Jil Meets Style: Tommy Ton is now shooting street style for Style.com. Yay! And Congrats! {Style}

McKinsey Watch 2009: The consultants have finished their reports at Condé and rumored info is starting to trickle out. Keith Kelly is reporting today that Allure, Teen Vogue, and Details have been spared, at least for now. They were thought to be in precarious spots. Dear Uncle Si, please don’t kill TV. We love it too much. {NY Post}

Life With Who What Wear!

WWW katharine and hillary.jpgWe’ve interviewed stylists and editors and publicists and designers, but we’ve never entered the world of blogging, or even the internet for a Life With.

So welcome to the world of Who What Wear.

We know you love their site. We love their site. And I made it a priority to sit down with Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power while in LA at the end of July to learn how they left the world of print and moved onto the internet. And more importantly, how they ended up putting together one of the most successful fashion sites among the millions.

Inside, how they blew up, where they’re going and what the launch of their book means
to them.

WhoWhatWear Books It

who what wear writes a book.jpgI learned a lot of things yesterday: what an ice blended tastes like, what it’s like for a seven minute drive to take forty-seven minutes, what it’s like to have so much space in your house/office that you have whole extra rooms and that Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power of WhoWhatWear wrote a book.

The project’s been in the works for almost two years, since a handful of literary agents approached them to turn their super popular site into something bound and solid.
